Temperate Forest
Temperate forests can be found in East Asia, Europe, the eastern part of North America and other areas where the transition from season to season is distinct including Japan, a country blessed with a beautiful natural environment.
Temperate forests in Japan are generally categorized into evergreen forests and deciduous forests. Evergreen forests are mostly found in the west of Japan where it is relatively warmer and there is a larger volume of rainfall. Evergreen forests typically include Machilus forests, Live Oak forests and forests of Ubame Oaks. Deciduous forests are generally found in eastern Japan where there is a good distribution of Japanese Beech forests and forests of Q. Crispula.
